I have a Mavic Air 2 and an Iphone 11 with the otter box case.   I have to remove the rubber liner around the hard case in order for the DJI lightning cable to connect.  It has a 90 degree bend and the rubber otter box case won't let the DJI cable connector physically get close enough to connect with the Iphone.   I have to take it off everytime I go to fly.  

Any ideas to prevent this?  I can't be the only one who's had this problem.

I can't speak for iPhones, but there are plenty of aftermarket cables you can use for Android. I assume it is the same for iPhones.

I've a Moment case that also suffers from this. Short 3rd party lightning to USB-C cables abound but they won't store neatly within the RC the way the DJI cable does. My expensive solution was to get an iPad mini  but I'd understand if you didn't want to go down that route
