I have the Phantom 4 Pro + with the built in screen. However, i can't seem to get offline map to work or any map (which seem to work when I download it onto my iphone-not the plus built in controller). I have tried to update to the latest firmware of the controller by downloading from the dji website and extracting GL300E_v1430_20200519.Bin file and copying it onto the sd card and manually initiating the update. However the update never seem to finish as it hangs on the DJI logo after restart. After powering down and repowering up the map button 4th from the top is also unresponsive.

I have spent a lot of time researching it seems everyone is having the same problem with maps but my map button being unresponsive seems to be a new issue?


btw. I have down factory reset/ re-installed firmware on the controller a number of times. it's all the same result. Also yes the controller is always connected to the home wifi.

Can you please explain how you got it to work.

I have tried to installed version DJI-v4.3.14 apk and other versions of the apk by downloading it and putting it onto the SD card it says that application can not be installed.

It shows 4.3.14

I am experiencing the same with a P4P+.  I am thinking about going back to the no screen controller setup. If that is possible?

I copied that to an SD card and when I go to local update it says No Update Found.
Looks like it wants the .bin file

Hey friend! I have full internet access and no available updates on my phantom 4 pro plus controller and the icon still doesn’t work, here’s my version: 01.04.03.00

I don’t know how to downgrade... can’t use dji assistant because I only have a MacBook....even when at the park, connected to Siri through my phone hotspot........ weird!

So, step further. I have even went as far as to download the amazon store via browser; and proceeded to pay $25 for the Litchi app; that has been SO slow and barely even runs; that I can't even pilot the drone. It was a complete waste of money.

Of course DJI's "customer service" is completely non existent. Per usual. Thanks for the reply. ANY updates you come across regarding this situation is very much appreciated.

Hell, I've got a bounty out for any file that WORKS on my machine to get maps working.... $100!

hello, I downloaded the file on to an sd card, but it wont upgrade to 4.3.42 ?

what was the steps you did to upgrade your DJI GO 4?

Updating the app solves the problem
1) Download the apk file
2) Copy it to a micro SD memory in the root
3) In the control go to Settings> All Applications> Explorer> SD Card
4) Open the application and click on install

To install the app: Copy the APK file onto the root of a microSD, insert into controller and power on. go to "Apps" in the settings and stop both Go4 and system upgrade processes (tap on the app and then tap stop). Go to All Applications and then tap explorer. Tap on SD card and then tap on the APK; it will then offer to install.

HOWEVER: I successfully installed this, but maps is still not working -  I was getting an empty list in the downloads, so I tried clearing all the caches (to no avail) and then did a factory reset and now the maps button does not work at all.

Is there a more recent version now?

I searched the internet and the problem is solved by updating the firmware from version V01.02.02.00 to version V01.04.03.00 and installing the DJI GO4 version V4.3.14. But unfortunately I can't upload the firmware and therefore installing the DJI GO4 V4.3.14 app the maps don't work and neither does the home point making the remote control useless. For this reason I would be grateful if someone knows how to update the remote control, or if they have an even previous firmware available to then try to upload.
