A couple of places I visited in December - three of those twice: at the start of December with a bit of snow and later in the early morning sun. A bit of a mixed bag.

Entirely possible. But they didn't light them with the Mini above it (might have been an interesting experiment!).

Here it's been snowing for the last few days and the snow doesn't even melt.
Been flying the "old" Air 1 while the snow came down because I wouldn't be as sorry to see it damaged as the newer Mini 2. But so far both kept up well. Will be publishing another one in the snow soon.
