Hellow.
I'm confused on what SD micro card do I need.
I'm looking at 128  U3.  But I don't know anything about them.
The price is all over. I will not be doing high tech videos.

If you don't plan to use 4K video resolution, then U1 speed class will be enough.
I use the drone with an U1 card and 1080p video till my new microSDXC card will arrive.

Ok thanks . I thought I would get a  U128 and are around $28 but some jump up to $100 or more.
So is a cheaper U128 gonna be ok.
This cameras  stuff is gonna take a while and I won’t be doing much.

I'm using Samsung EVO Plus and working perfect on all modes. I advice you to buy max 128gb, most probably you'll not need more because of total flight time.

Hi Donut,

check on the specs of the mini2 on dji.com which sd cards to use.
https://www.dji.com/mobile/mini-2/specs

Maybe you can get away with a slower, cheaper card. For video it is absolutely necessary to buy a fast one. For still photography the writing between pictures can also consume some time. I heard from others taking pictures with a slow card can take up to 2.5 seconds. While it is writing the picture, your view is also frozen.
I'm using 99% of the time my drones for landscape photography, not video. And I opted for faster sd cards.
Will the slower cards work, yes of course. Use one of the brands of the selection on the dji website instead of an less known brand if you don't want to lose pictures. And format your sd cards in the drone, not on a pc.

Oh them I’ll get a 128 extreme U3.
I’d be better off doing that and then I won’t have to worry.
Thank you so much.

I bought a Sandisk Ultra 128 U1 A1 and it has about 48MB / s when writing and it's enough. I don't see any problems.

I've noticed, by running some speed tests (AJA System Test) that some cards that claim a fast write speed will do that for a bit and then take a dive to real slow.
The Sandisk Extreme doesn't do that.  It stays fast for the whole time, so it is very good.
I normally use Samsung U3 cards and the have always worked fine, but I don't remember the results from the speed tests.

Hi all,

I have a DJI Mini 2.

I bought, as recommanded by DJI, an 256 Gb SanDisk Extreme V30 A2.

Since I put the card in my drone, the drone is always telling me “SD Card unavailable” after initializing the card. The Format-function seems not to work neither.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance

Max

Check the operation of the card on the pc, format it to exFat or Fat32 and reinsert it into the drone.
