Appears the moors above your village are very muddy.  At least you can still go for a short walk for exercise during your current lockdown.  Is your return trip to France on hold?

We're booked on a Ferry next Thursday, but have to take a Covid test and get a negative result before we can embark.  That's programmed for Monday. Fingers crossed.

It was a Cotton town in the 18th and 19th centuries - even into the early 20th. Lots of water to power the mills.
