I've only been droning for like 6 or 7 months so all I know is flying and editing. So what if someone contacts me on YouTube and asks if they want to use some of my footage in a music video? Obviously I would them to credit me, but is there anything specific I should do to copyright my footage? I know nothing about this process.  

You would need to have a part 107 licence to use the footage commercially.
