I do have a use for LRFs, but the option to disable them would be helpful. The use being sharing a lower size file on Google Drive so that it takes less space of my drive, but people can access it still.

i like my osmo 5 pro but who really design these software features? we need to get rid of LRF. Previews can be original files too and if not, then update the software to use them. LRF arent that important that everyone need to suffer because small precentage of users find them useafull, even i dont understand who can benefit them, if they are not great for proxy files either. You really use people storage space because of what? preview? sure.  BTW: Even these LRF files can be gigabytes and why? really?

Smartphone requires the LRF   they can allow us  to turn on and off like cheap cameras on the market

no, they dont, hevc works now days everywhere
