Absolutely.  I think Im going to buy a mini 2 before its classified as its going to be the best option for a while (complete with overfly people), and use the M2P in more rural areas.  I just hope they dont release a Mavic 3 that fits an unrestricted category anytime soon or someone will murder me.

Yes, that was very interesting and informative and many thanks for finding this for us DAFlys. I wanted to register and get the drone card and do the online test here in Sweden, but their web site has crashed, so you now has to 31 Jan to register. Just too many who wantetd to register.

Make sure you check out his back catalog of videos,  he does some interesting tests to see what happens so you dont need too.

I bought a Mini 2 after realising how the rules have changed. Its no comparison to the M2P but a very capable drone for flying virtually anywhere as its <250g.

Thanks,  thats exactly what I was hoping for.   I will probably pull the trigger early Feb,  I cant decide about the dpi refresh or not,  I had it on the M2P and its replacement (the first got stolen in Italy) but I dont think I need it now.

I bought refresh with my first Mavic Pro, then again for my M2P, I never had a claim on either of them, even though the Mini 2 has virtually no sensors I decided not to buy refresh.

I dont mind taking the risk for a £400 drone, but the original Mavic and M2P were way over a grand so the refesh was a good insurance.

I completely understand.  I'm interested in seeing what the Mavic 3 brings to the table.

Im sure the Mavic 3 will be great, but I dont its going to get around the EU rules too much,   so I'll have a mini for near people and a Mavic 2 or 3 for other stuff.
