Why are my dji Mini2 videos nice and clear and smooth on my Samsung phone, but choppy and jumpy on my windows 7 laptop?

Are you recording in H265?   This needs a lot more CPU to decode. Most phones have CPUs with instructions sets to decode this natively whereas most CPUs dont have this yet.   If you run the footage through handbrake (its free) and convert it to H264 it should be much smoother.

Thanks for the prompt reply, but I don't know what you mean.
Videos play smooth on my phone. How do I check what I'm recording in? I'll look for handbrake.

Try lowering your setting to 4k 24 or 2.7k and see if that helps.

So I used handbrake, took ~1hr to go through a 3:19min video, and not much difference. Am I missing something?

Whats the spec of your PC as anything fairly modern should play that fine.

Windoze 7, with notice its no longer supported for updates etc. Im pretty sure it needs a good cleanup, but theres room on HD for files.
Used to play GoPro vids smoothly, but not anymore. Ill have to see about cleaning it or changing the operating system.

Can you share an example?
