b. It’s possible to downgrade to a previous version of the official firmware. Set the gimbal to sleep mode, go back to the homepage of the App, and click the upgrade notice. The original gimbal firmware should then be restored.

RSC2 Beta

What’s New?
• Added Orbit Follow mode.
• Added manual setting for focus endpoints for DJI Ronin Focus Motor, where users can set a controllable range between Point A to Point B manually.
• Added Deep Sleep mode to extend battery power. Press the gimbal power button twice to enter sleep mode, and the gimbal will automatically enter Deep Sleep mode after 10 minutes if no interaction has happened with the gimbal. The touchscreen will be set to its lowest brightness, and the RSA accessory expansion port will power off. Repeat to exit Deep Sleep mode.
• Added front dial control over camera parameters, shutter speed, gimbal tilt/pan movements. Also added adjustable front dial smoothness and direction reversal.
• Added shutter/autofocus control for Z CAM E2、Z CAM E2-F6、Z CAM E2-F8、Z CAM E2-M4、Z CAM E2-S6
• Optimized roll axes algorithm for large angle tracking in Horizontal, Portrait, and FPV modes, preventing the gimbal from getting stuck during tracking at specific angles.

• Fixed issues: when using Z CAM with manual lenses, the gimbal axes failed to stabilize the camera.
Notes
• Make sure that the DJI Ronin app is the latest version when updating the firmware.
• Update the firmware using the DJI Ronin app by connecting the DJI RSC 2 via Bluetooth. Update the firmware of RavenEye transmission module separately by connecting it with DJI Ronin app via Wi-Fi. Do not disconnect the DJI Ronin app and DJI RSC 2 during the update. Do not disconnect the DJI Ronin app and DJI RSC 2 during the update.
• If DJI RSC2 has a camera attached and is powered on while updating the firmware, make sure to protect the camera and lens as the motors will power off during the update.
• If the firmware update fails, restart DJI RSC2 and retry.

These don't need the new iOS version of the app. You can do this with the current version now. Just the necessary functions that require the app won't be available to you yet. We don't have a set timeline.

cool ! But no mention about Sony A7c compatibility. I will test it and let you know.

Orbit follow mode?  There has to be more ways to have more control over the Activetrack.

Unfortunately it just offers me the possibility of updating to 1.02.00.03... which is the version I'm running... it even updates itself very quickly but no new firmware options are shown
