thanks DowntownRDB,  I'm going to order a Mini 2 next month.  

It would have been nice to have added " You must be able to see your drone at all times to enable you to take avoidance action from manned aircraft". The other one would be if it has a camera you legally have to register as an Operator and pay your £9 to the CAA.

The Mini 2 is a capable drone that you can fly from your garden, I live in a NFZ and never had trouble obtainng permission to fly from the controller at a very large helicopter site.

Good choice.  One of my grandson's friends works at Best Buy and he said that since DJI was put on the entity list and with the latest FAA drone restrictions for larger drones that the Mini 2 flew off the shelves.  His store ordered 50 more and are waiting on stock to arrive.  

I think the lessons DJI learned from the Mavic Mini helped them put out a much improved product in the Mini 2.

Its the same here with the new EASA rules,  this drone before it gets classified can fly almost anywhere. If it gets classified it will fall into a different category and slightly more restrictive, so I want to order before it gets labeled.

That makes perfect sense and it is very capable function wise despite its small size.

Definite will get one before its classified,   some are suggesting to buy a spare too as when the classification comes in there wont be a classified drone you can fly this close to people.
