I think that, if true, this is a really good approach. I learned how to fly FPV on a homemade Flamewheel F550 with a Naza controller on it. And a homemade FPV analogue cam mount. It was great because I could start out in GPS mode, get used to that, then I started using Atti mode, and finally was able to switch it to manual mode, which gave full acro performance.. I only crashed it once or maybe twice the whole time I was learning. It really saved my bacon being able to slap it into atti or gps mode when I got goofed up.....
