The 2.7K footage @ 50/60 FPS mode introduced with the latest firmware update doesn't seem to have any corrections applied to it in camera. Moire, distortion and noise is clearly visible compared to 4K 25/30 FPS and 1080P 50/60 FPS. Is this supposed to be the case or an issue with the new firmware? I much prefer just shooting in high framerate mode and have to option of slowing down in post when needed and 2.7K is a large step up from 1080p.

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm what you write about 2.7k 60fps. I've already done some movies and they're really good. Source clips are 80Mbps, that's a lot. What bitrate do your files have?

Hi, furfoot. Thanks for reaching out! Our apologies for the inconvenience that it has caused. To assist you better, please confirm whether you're experiencing this phenomenon only on both 50 and 60 fps when shooting 2.7K. We'd like to also know if it affects all of your videos recorded on that particular video settings. If you could kindly upload to GoogleDrive or DropBox a clip of the original file, we'd like to have it check.

First shot is 4k @ 25 FPS, then 2.7K @ 50 FPS, then 1080P @ 50 FPS. You can see the pincushion effect in the 2.7K @ 50 FPS footage compared to the other two, it's a bit hard to see from this footage but other footage I have shows noticeable noise and moire compared to all other options. It's easy to reproduce just set it in front of something with a lot of straight lines and take videos at different resolutions/settings.

I can't test the other 60 FPS or other resolutions as I have had to return the drone for a new one as it has the same issue as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3q_WVQ4-Nc where the gimbal is always tilted no matter what you do.

Ok just redid the test with my new Mini 2 and same results for the 2.7K 50/60 FPS mode. It actually looks worse than 1080P

You have to download the footage otherwise youtube just compresses the hell out of it and blurs out all noise.

Noise reduction is worse and also the distortion is not fixed in camera.

I made the test on my own video material and I can probably confirm that there is image distortion at 2.7k 60f and a noticeable, though not significant decrease in image quality, something like a slight noise. I compared it to the FHD. I also compared 4k, FHD and 2.7k 30f material and the problem described above does not occur. You convinced me with your test.

Same here! I just bought Mini 2 and noticed exactly the same problem. Have a look:

I need those 50fps to have a nice smooth clip.
