You're absolutely right.  The mix does seem to be a bit more expressive.

I'd never seen it before but I will definitely keep it in mind for something to try.  Thanks for the tip on this mix.

Also like the mixed version a lot. The sky is not as mushy and noisy there.
A few years back the B&W with mixed colors was all the rage.

Changed it a bit to what I had in mind as well. That said, the image being a jpeg and compressed for web upload, then done on my desktop, did lose quite a lot of detail. Sure you could get a few extra awesomeness out of this shot with the original file.

Should be yes.
We have some in our canteen at work to prevent echo (it is a tiled space)
I contacted the supplier and it is 'just' some rockwool behind a regular canvas print.
So as I'm planning on using Rockwool to do some insulation on the studio, I might as well get some more to make a couple of those.
Just need to find the right supplier that can print canvas with thicker edges than usual.
Or I will have to make my own sub frame from wood to get more depth.

The last canvas I had down was on a 40mm frame.   And the sound proofing I used on the workshop would probably squeeze into that.  so there's definitely some scope to do it.
