Can the RavenEye be used solely as an image transmission tool without a gimbal? for example, sometimes I want to mount the camera on a tripod, and use raven eye as an image transmission to my iPhone and control the camera's shutter speed, aperture, and so on.

Sure, I’ve used the raveneye mounted to the hot shoe shooting handheld a few times. You don’t need the gimbal for it to work.
