That is BS. There is absolutely no connection between what phone you are using and loss of connection with the aircraft, nor is it connected to short range.

I can fly my mavic Pro without the phone running.
I discovered this when my Samsung J7 (dedicated for drone use) crashed and had to be shut down and restarted. Restarting the app didn't work on that occasion.
The drone was about 600metres away at the time and just hovered on the spot, no return to home took place.
Restarting the phone and the app showed the drone was still focused on the spot where I left it.

Indeed, after upgrading the screen freezes again! Bad job from DJI. I am gonna downgrade by taking off the app and reïnstall. I keep you informed.

Ok,
I uninstalled the upgraded version. Went to the Galaxy playstore and installed again. Now I refuse to upgrade and it works fine again.

DJI has a job to look into!

IOS got a update today I believe im sure hoping they update the android one for it to work on my s21 Ultra...

Yeh same here 4k NOT working again!!  Whatever they have don't must be an easy fix as they did it before???

Just delete you actual version and re-install the older version from the Samsung Galaxy store. Do NOT upgrade!

Holding thumbs that the Samsung Galaxy A32 is also added to the list soon

I have the same problem.  The only thing I'd add is that the Samsung S21 Ultra is a top end phone, is highly marketed (at least here in Australia) and will very soon be widely used. It seems logical for DJI to get to the bottom of the problem so the problem doesn't continue or snowball for them with further updates. Very pleased to hear DJI is looking into it.

So frustrated i had these same issues with my s10 but found a fix and there is no fix for this one except buy an old phone!!!! I couldnt be more annoyed especially having just sold my s10plus which worked fine. Clearly no fix is coming any time soon so thanks i'll now have to shell out at least £100 to be able to use my damn drone again! Not exactly ideal especially as i have just been made redundant!!!!!

Sadly I just have the Plus. Wish i hadn't bothered upgrading my phone at all now tbh.

I confirm that the 4K works correctly with version 1.4.0. Thanks so much for the advice. I hope dji fixes the problem with the next version of the app.

Edit: I can confirm rolling back works.

I had it with DJI. Version 1.4.0 works, but now I have to update and it does NOT work anymore. Version 1.4.2 again gives a frozen screen.

Now the S21 seems compatible, but the ultra wich is the most advanced not. DJI, shame on You!!!

Call me impatient but my whole business has now had to be put on hold due to not being able to fly with a new samsung phone.

SO as i don't want to buy a second hand old phone or an expensive smart controller it appears that my only option is to downgrade software through DJI ASSISTANT on pc. I assume thats how you downgrade software back to version 1.4.0?

Why it is not possible??? I did and do every time. Even after it upgrades, I delete the upgraded version and install from th galaxy store version 1.4.0

It is an issue from DJI and I know they are working on it. I was really angry, but they promised me there will be a good working version.
For now: install version 1.4.0 from the Galaxy store and do NOT upgrade!

You must be talking about the mini whereas mine is a M2P and so i cannot install DJI Fly

This topic isn't about the Mvic pro but about the mini2.

I have S21 Ultra with the Exynos chip and I can confirm the 4k 30 and 25 fps modes freezes the camera for mini 2.

I'm using the latest firmware and DJI Fly 1.4.4

Amazing it takes so long to fix this issue.

Han realizado ya dos versiones 1.4.2 y 1.4.4 y siguen sin solucionar el problema de congelación de imagen al iniciar la grabación en 4K 30 y 25 FPS. Que poca seriedad por parte de DJI. NO tengo más remedio que usar la versión 1.4.0

Esperemos que lo solucionen pronto que ya está bien.

También con migo funciona. Tenia contacto con DJI y ellos están trabajando en esto. Seguro y con sus disculpas.
