What's the score?

I've got 1.2.4(917-offical) installed from DJI since it was available.

Now it's trying to do an in app update. It appears to be silently failing.

Sorted.  Hadn't given permission to install from source app. Now I'm on 1.2.4(919-official)

The whole in app update is very sketchy. I don't know of any other legitimate app doing this.

Indeed it is non standard.

I imagine things are a foot in the drone world. It's a cold war after all.

I got the update and it worked however I was already on 1.2.4 and after the update it's still saying 1.2.4 so I'm not sure what that's all about.

Anyone no what changed from 917 to 919, maybe slight error in 917 ?

Where do you see these numbers in parentheses? I can only see three numbers, 1.2.4.

It would be nice when people talked about updates if they stated what operating system they were on ie IOS, Android or Smart controller. Without this information posts make little sense

DJI forcing us to sideload their app instead of going through the Play Store is incredibly sketchy. And not a whisper from them with reasoning.

Name one legitimate company forcing their users to do that.

DJI are losing the plot.

If you use an IOS device you will not have these issues. I recommend a second hand iPhone 6S Plus

Sorry I agree, I am an Android user, my post is regarding the latest DJI Fly for Andoid.
