Wednesday sunset was a sold "A". As I was doing my usual after-work hike I was happy to see "winter whispies" forming a nearly uniform layer, which usually indicates that we would get "pinks" across the entire sky.
And, boy, pink did we get!
My timing was perfect. I came back home minutes before the light was about to start, so I was able to launch my M2P and catch the entire show.
Due to the aforementioned uniform layer tt was an almost continuous spectacle, without usual peaks at 5-10-15 min, at least without overly pronounced ones.
Below are a few frames from tonight. Taken at about 400ft. Shot in RAW, processed in ACR 13.2.
1. The show is about to begin. Still a lot of yellows, but looking good.
2. Here comes the pink.
3. Looking East. Yes, as predicted, the entire sky was properly lit.
4. Looking West. If there was a peak, this probably was about it.
5. Going nonstop. In my experience, it's really rare that the light remains that strong for that long.
6. Almost done. But still gorgeous.
Thank you for looking!
Fly safe!
