Hi,

When I shoot a timelapse or hyperlapse video, I have the following problems:

1) I set waypoints on the timelapse, but it does not actually go to those waypoints. It "misses" them and ends up in a different place (usually too far down)

here is an example of the timelapse drift
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t0f16mct8f68fg1/2021-01-26%2011.14.53.mp4?dl=0
(it was not supposed to point downwards, it was supposed to keep the horizon in the middle of the frame)

2) if I attach a monopod to my backpack, and film a hyperlapse with the osmo 3 attached to the monopod, the camera does not stay pointing in the same direction. It drifts downwards after just 2-3 minutes.here is an example of the hyperlapse drift
https://www.dropbox.com/s/adodok2qzohcvkw/2021-01-25%2012.55.34.mp4?dl=0

What is the problem, do I need to send my osmo back and get a new one?

Sounds like your phone is too heavy,  are you using a supported phone and not using any extra lens or filters?

So.... I will send it back for a refund I guess. Since no one has offered any explanation, and it sounds like it's a basic issue with the design.
I guess there are not any encoders on the motors, which means that setting waypoints is just senseless, right?
