I am not able to see the option of changing my front light color, When I Open the APP, just after the units settings, it goes to gimball options, but do not show me any LED options, Why??  I just bought it 2 days ago and did the all necessary updates..

DJI Steven..! I appreciate your response.  I bought a Mini 2 few days ago.  My first drone.  I found out why....., when I did the software update the first time, the drone did not reboot, so it did not got updated.  I did the update again and now I am able to see the front light menu options...!!!

Hi there I bought a dji mini 2 couple of days ago. Firmware updated to the latest version both flight and dji fly app but drones front led not changing colours when select different colours it's just stays on white colour irrespective of which ever colour I select.

and the homepoint is not displayed correctly in the radar

Just purchased my Mini 2 and I also can't get it to change color. Just pulsing white. No response from app

Same here... I bought mine the other day, updated all firmware and the front LED light doesn't change... stays blinking white. I've searched all through the web and couldn't find anything...

Problem with homepoint was in 1.4.12 buid 1386 but it was fixed in 1.4.12 build 1410.
Problem with LED is still not fixed.

DJI Stephen is a bot i'm afraid. I've asked "him" few days ago (after release build 1410) what about LED problem and there is still no answer.

EDIT: There is new version to download 1.4.12 (1420) maybe problem is fixed now.

Same issue for me, have ensured ALL software, no fly zones etc are up to date as of today (20th October 2021). Tried all options but front LED stays pulsing / White

I'm also not able to change the colour (v 1.4.12). And though I chose for example "blue" and "breathing mode", after restarting the drone the mode is again set to "deactivated". Hope this will work soon...

I never noticed the light, mainly because its facing away from me when im flying, but yes its white and it doesnt disable

but then i downgraded to 1.4.8 which gave me all the light options and did the following test

My findings
clean install of Version 210929- 1386  light runs the rainbow cycle and ignores any changes in the app

Upgrade to 211012 - 1410 same result as above

clean install of 211012 - 1410 same result as above

upgrade to 211015 - 1420 same result as above

clean install of 211015 - 1420 same result as above.

So if you want to go back to the rainbow light uninstall 1420 and install 1.4.8

I dont know how i ended up with just a white light as I cant get it to do that at all now

I made a workaround to handle the problem without uninstalling my app:
- installing 1.4.8 on another device
- changing the colour and theme
- go back to standard device

> it works and keeps the settings
> but 1.4.12 says still front LEDs are deactivated

Anyway, this works for me

Before the update my mini 2 led eas working fine, my daughter used it ,put it to pink solid, after update its stuck on pink solid wtf,  how do you reboot drone? Maybe that will fix it, i was flying at time of update,   drone never restarted.  ?Maybe this is why.

You are lucky mine is stuck pink solid lol. Before update was working fine my daughter had pink solid so now its stuck pink. I was flying during update drone never restarted maybe that's why.  How do you reboot drone

None of the new features work. Like live streaming. Also I lost my signal radar in the middle of the screen that disappeared also. The new firmware update ruined my drone..

mine is stuck on solid pink. My daughter had that color before I updated. I also lost features and all of the new features nothing works android.  Is the update ruined my drone. Is everything worked perfectly before the update..

Ok,what I fully did is revert back to the earliest version of the firmware I could (Jan 2021 I think ) and then uninstalled and reinstalled the fly app,then checked it and it worked,reinstalled the latest firmware and it's still working,try that mate

If you uninstalled 1.4.12, and reinstalled 1.4.8 (1185) there is no live streaming option. So if you see that in the app, you havent installed 1.4.8 (1185). Its been confirmed to work (1.4.8 1185) by many many people and it does fix the light on the front of the drone issue.

Yes, i can confirm previous versions work fine with the front led, and i have switched all the way back to 1.4.4 for the transmission stability.
