I commented on a YouTube video and it’s amazing how many people think the classifications are retrospective.

It is very much indeed.
Today was about getting the ventilation slats on the wall. Apparently the plaster was not very well applied. So I had to fill in a lot of gaps with shims.
Took me double the time I had estimated....
But it is ready for the insulation now.

Hi Aldryn, Love my FytPath Tee-shirts, I'm interested in getting into FPV, as soon as the new DJI FPV drone comes available my question has to do with the goggles. I wear glasses to read and I do not plan on using contacts, is there going to be an issue with using the DJI goggles? I read that some goggles do not require the user to wear any glasses. If DJI goggles require glasses that would be a bummer for me and many others, unless the glasses can fit in the DJI goggles. Any input is greatly appreciated folks. HFTA

I'm very happy to report that the short focal length problem of the original DJI goggles isn't the same in the FPV goggles. Their focal length seems to be much longer, approximately like that of other goggles like Fatsharks, etc.

I'm farsighted and have to use + diopter reading glasses but things are mostly in focus for me about 10 feet away and further. With my V2's, I can almost see the screens in focus with no glasses on at all. If I will end up needing lenses, they'll only need to be very weak, probably about +1.25 diopter if that.

My rough estimate, then, of the focal distance of the FPV goggles is probably around 6 to 10 feet. So if you can see in focus at those distances, you probably won't need glasses.

Of course, if you're nearsighted, you may have to still use your glasses....

Thank you Luciens, I had to ask "Siri" to provide me the definition of Farsightedness in order to determine what condition I have. It turns out, I'm Farsighted since I need glasses to read fine print. Therefore, like you, I should be able to use the goggles. I can see very well at the same distance you mentioned (6ft-10ft.)
I was asking because I was concerned that if I needed to wear glasses then I would have to find a frame that would fit inside the goggles. I appreciate your input because my farsightedness will allow me to try out the FPV goggles. Awesome! Happy flying to all
