I was just wondering what you all had your color set to on the drone light? And more importantly what color do you think helps you see better for night flying?

I chose the incognito black light for night time surveillance!

If the copter should be really clearly visible, the color of the LED doesn't really matter (white, yellow, light blue are more visible - but only a few meters) .... Then you will not get around an additional light ...

Bright sand in a dark snow weather color )))))
I prefer light orange as it can be easily seen.

Heartbeat purple on mine.

White on the bottom, Red on the top.  

I have mine set to orange

I think Throbber is referring to strobes he has fitted whereas the OP is talking about the drone light on the front which can be changed in the settings to various colours.

In the settings under control you can choose various colours and have it flashing or solid, ie non- flashing.

Yes, in control again use disable mode.

I wondered about turning off the front light to save a bit of power which might extend flight time a bit more. Anyone done some tests to see if it makes enough difference to go for the gain. I would but right now it is Winter in the mid west and not likely to fly much for another month.

It’s a tiny little LED that you can barely see when it’s sitting on the table in front of you.  The amount of power it draws is likely so minimal there would be no affect on flight time.
