Indeed,  with the lockdown we are a bit limited on new places, and Im avoiding the castle because its rampant with people at the moment.

I've exhausted just about everywhere around here in walking distance. Excursions in the car for shopping allow for getting a bit further afield.

Do you still have the 1km limit?    Round here all the clear paths are too busy and the rest are too muddy.  Even under the snow.

It's unclear. Apparently, the requirement to carry around an "attestation" declaring what you're doing outdoors has been abandoned. But the Curfew from 18h00 - 06h00 is still in force.

Due to lockdown I can only really fly near where I can walk from home "for exercise".   This is a couple of miles from here I live and its much nicer in the summer.  We've not really had that much snow this year. But as we dont always get some its nice to get a few inches.

Nah. I can imagine.
We have a nice pond close by our house that was frozen solid and went ice skating there.
Big enough for the kids to have fun.
So no need to go on a trip to the lake or the ice track (which were rather busy and further away)

wow,  that must have been cold,   all our ponds were frozen (even parts of the thames river in west london) but I wouldn't have trusted it.
