Question about using the Deity V-Mic D$ Duo microphone with the Pocket 2
Is anyone using this set-up as an external mic, and do the audio channels record correctly?

That mic appears to simply be two stereo mics back to back output to a single trs connector, the audio being presented as a stereo pair.  It should therefore work with the Pocket 2, though it needs 3v plug in power while the Pocket 2 supplied 2.1v (in my measurements).  In reality that might not actually be a problem - but only testing would prove the point.  Whether the result would be better than the built in mic's excellent sound would also be a matter for test.  They appear to be in essence a pair of back to back MS stereo mics, with sophisitcated stereo field rotation capabilities to keep the audio and video directionally co-ordinated.  The chief problem with them is wind noise.  With an external mic it's easier to shield it against wind, so long as you can ensure that the combined mic and windshield is kept out of view of the rotating gimbal head.

[Edit - re-reading the description of this mic, it seems that it's simply two mono mics back to back.  So no different from a normal stereo mic, except left and right become front and back.  A bit odd...]
