Has anyone used, or considered using, the P4 Multispectral for shoreline or shallow hydrographic surveys?
I have been reading into Multispectral and have seen references to the blue band (0.45-0.52 μm) being able to penetrate water, but haven’t found anyone practically applying this concept.
I frequently work with surveyors in coastal and wetland areas and this would be a game changer since ortho surveys in RGB have trouble processing images of/near water due to the light reflected off the surface.

Google is (understandably) saturated with agricultural applications when it comes to multispectral drone surveying and hope that someone in this community may have a lead on more information.

I think that you would find similar issues with the blue band from the multispectral vs the blue band from an rgb camera. Unless the water was very clear and calm, it will be a challenge to reconstruct and to be accurate. Some papers exist eg https://www.researchgate.net/pub ... ereo_photogrammetry
