The tower of Vrasna is located on the northeastern side of the homonymous settlement of the Asprovalta area and in the courtyard of the village church.
There is not much information about the history of the tower. We know that it was built during the Palaeologian period - early 15th century - in the center of the settlement of Vrasta (renamed "Vrasna" in 1918). Vrasta is mentioned in the Athonite catalogs. In 1300 they belong to the Katepanikio of Stefanina, while later to the Katepaniki of Rentina.
