I still think the US FAA regulations are excessive to require a full Private Pilots License to fly UAV's.  I think the UK CAA have it on the mark requiring commercial training for UAV Pilots by a CAA approved training entity then requiring formal CAA approval to operate on a commercial level, which is renewed every year.

It would be better every two years

you can use a sport license instead of a private pilot's license.
