No more dji products for me without it. Kind of pointless to have a SC for one drone and not the other!
I was going to purchase another dji drone but unless I see confirmation the mini 2 will be able to work with the SC forget it!
Not going to drag around multiple controllers to fly the Mavic series that uses Occusync.

It sucks for DJI & customers.

Apparently DJI thinks the Mini 2 is a toy!!!!

Mini 2 owners would buy the SC.
SC owners would by the Mini 2.
As I said earlier it is crazy to have to carry two controllers, one for each drone.
DJI is leaving money on the table, and driving future business elsewhere.

i have the sc and m2 compatibility with sc played zero consideration upon my m2 purchase.  so i might be different from everyone else but i doubt it; not much.  i honestly don't think dji is leaving that much money on the table by not immediately making m2 which already comes with a remote and double the price sc compatible.  sorry but forced to carry two rcs is weak excuse.  you think i leave my autel or skydio at home because i have to bring multiple equipment?  lol

Not sure why you posted on this thread, it was actually started for people that would like to see full functionality for the SC with the M2.

Being forced to carry to controllers is not the only consideration.
Unfortunate you don't see all of the benefits of the SC vs. a smartphone.
There are many, I don't think I need to list them as you can refer to this web site to enlighten yourself as to the difference.

He certainly has the rights to disagree with those on this thread who wants the Mini2 compatibility. However I have always failed to understand why the Smart Controller's price being twice that of the Mini2 is  a reason for DJI to not do it. The guys at DJI seems to be having quite a lot of trouble trying to get the Fly app and GO 4 to work concurrently without issues on the Smart Controller; and they're probably not ready to open yet another can of worms.

just for the record, i don't think dji is prohibiting compatibility for some artificial reason, price notwithstanding.  that wouldn't make sense it.

my point was i don't see them being in any particular hurry to make it happen and trying to drum up mini2 sales isn't a reason to do it because the lift is tiny....tiny.

tp, i told you i have a sc.  and i use it with my m2z and my ma2.  so please enlighten me about all that i am missing out on because my sc doesn't fly my mini2.  i know exactly what the difference are when i use my smartphone vs. the sc but go ahead, please tell me the magic and new life the sc would breathe into the mini2 should they decide to half ass it today and make them compatible rather than work on it and get it right later.

I totally agree with you...the mini 2 is far from a toy and flies like a more expensive drone imo

It took almost 5 months for DJI update the SC firmware to support the Air 2.  If the Mini was going to take the same amount of time we would be expecting to see it now.  Am I not correct in believing that DJI responded to a tweet at the end of Jan saying they had no plans to add the Mini 2 to the SC list of updates so perhaps we're waiting for nothing.  Sadly, it's the sort of thing that keeps me from buying an SC.  With no Mini 2 support I'd still need to carry more than one controller so there no saving for me.

I can understand DJI not wanting to cannibalise sales of their more expensive drones by including “premium” features on the cheaper drones.

In the case of the M2 though, people are buying this because of the category it is in probably more so than the price.

A lot of M2 owners would probably have spent more on the M2 if it cost more rather than a MA2 because it suits their needs more.

There is no real reason they could not add all the features to the M2 apart from any that rely on extra hardware.

The processor in the M2 should be just as capable as that in the more expensive drones.

I can see the benefit of the SC and might have bought one if it worked.

I can totally understand you’re feelings on this. I thought they might have said they were considering it

What is meant is the Smart Controler.

However, I don't see where this is currently available ?!
And then I don't see any real advantage over a 10 inch tablet ... but that's definitely just my personal feeling.
