Hello,

My S900 was flying great till I installed the e1200 kit.

Now the entire frame and landing gear are shaking badly(looks very dangerous).
I’ve tried to change the gain settings with no success.

Again, seems like DJI releases a very high price product withlots of promises leaving us, the costumers, to deal with their low quality productproblems.

Now I waste time to insall and try to tune it (with no succsess) and again, waste of a lots of money.
Big disappointed!!!

My suggestion for you is don’t buy it!!!

Hello Rotem,

what you mean with shaking badly, sounds like your landing gear and servos are loose.
How many flights do you have on your 900er. My 900 and 920 flyes great no vibrations at all, but the need sometimes service

flighttime compare to the old engine is great

Hello ducpeter,

Thank you for your replay.

My S900 fly about 4 times with the old motors and it fly great.

First flight after the upgrade the entire frame start to shake like something is not balance or go into harmonic, the camera is shaking up and down badly as well.
The problem is that the chance to get help from DJI is low and I need to find answers from the net after I spent lot of money.

Can you please advise what your S900 configuration is and what is the flight time before and after the change?
Thank you very much

more than 150 flights with the S900 and my second S900 is now an S920 about 20 flights after the change.
basicly all the vibrations coming from the landinggear and not correct builded copters. last week an Filcrew were coming in with an S1000 and mövi5 with lot's of vibrations. only with rebuilding the copter we solved 90% of the vibrations, the rest is setting the mövi

Hello,
Is there any support from DJI on this issue?

hi Rotem,

sharking problem generally comes from the inappropriate gain setting, loose frame built, or bad  flight control imu.

here is suggestion to you
1. update your esc firmware to the lated released v1.5 and set you gain to the suggested "basic 90 90 80 attitude 130 130 100"
2. update you flight controller to the latest firmware(assuming you are using A2 or wokong-M"
3. double check the screws on the frame for any loose
4. if you can upload a video of real flying, that would be very helpful for us to help you out there

thanks for your feedback and looking forward to any updates

I also got really bad flight experience with my S920.  You can see here: http://youtu.be/b23m-EIpsoo.      I had made around 10 flights with the s920 with no big problems (just light vibrations) After upgrading to 1.5 ESC Firmware I made three flights without problems. I changed the motor rubber dampers because some of these where waren out

I have to change rubber dampers on some motors every 4 flights ... These dampers are too small and dont support the load and motor vibrations.
I suggest to DJI to re-engineer the motor mount and in-between to send a lot of rubber dampers to customer.
A little bit disappointed with the E1200 kit.

I put E1200 Pro (8) on DJI S1000/A2 (12kg total with Ronin M and Camera) ,replaced the arms (16" / 406 mm each).I put  gain settings at Basic  P-185 R-185 & Y-165 Attitude P-185 R- 185- V-165 and the machine flew well with little or no wind  for 5 test flights.Flight 6 with 5 -10 mph wind noticed the machine pitching back and fourth.Went down on the gains to Basic P-110 R-110 Y- 100  Attitude P-130 R-130 & V-100 and the machine was uncontrollable pitching back and fourth and drifting all over the place, does this mean the gain are way to low ?I also updated each motor /esc to version1.5.

99% sure you're props are too tight;)  Whenever I have to change out props etc I'm always overtightening one or two props and they do exactly what you're describing, so I loosen them and even then there's a little vibration initially that settles out as the RPMs increase.  So a standing practice that I do now is run the motors on the ground for maybe 30 seconds until most of the visible vibrations are gone.

Motor dampeners are another cause but if your E1200's are new you shouldn't have this problem yet, but after about 30+ flights they'll most likely need changing.  Hold the base of motor arm in one hand and use the hand to try and move the props up and down...if the motor is easily and/or loosely teetering side to side the dampeners need a changing.  If the motor only moves a little and has a nice snug fit to the arm then you're fine for now.

As per what others said, if the whole copter has a fast wobble in the air then turn your gains down.  I leave my basic gains in the mid to lower 90's...yaw about 10pts below the others.

But usually the cause is a combination of all of the above to different degrees.
