Thank you all for your replies on the difference between MM2 and MA2.

I just went impulsive and bought it. I can instantly see the size and weight difference.

Set it up, updated the FW, and took it for a quick night spin from my backyard.

So here are my Qs and feedback

1- what’s the bright light underneath? It’s a bit blinding at night (goes off when I go higher)
2- still couldn’t figure out the obstacles avoidance
a) I see break and bypass
b) it didn’t work on low altitude
c) no sideways sensors? Right?
3- it’s FAST lol reached about 60km/h
4- does it have a propeller holder I can buy?

I’ll take it to an open space on the weekend for an in-depth flight and learning. Hopefully I can post some nice shots with it.

1) nice light for landings in the dark...
2) just try out the OA
a  brake = stop and hover when seeing an obstacle, bypass = drone will fly around/over the obstacle
c no sideways sensors!

You can find the answer to just about every "How To" question on YouTube. I watched a boatload of videos when the MA2 was first released and again on new features added due to Flay app and firmware updates..

That is part of the precision landing feature. Without it, nighttime automatic landings would not work as well. You can turn it on of off manually.

You mentioned you took it for a Night Spin. That might be why OA was not working. Like JJB said, try it out, but do it in the daytime. it will either stop to hover , or find a way around. Either to the side slightly, or over the top of the obstacle. You, the operator, set the way you want it to behave in the app. Have fun.

yes,, it was night, and got the dark environment msg,, I will try again in an open space during day time

Congrats on your impulse buy.  Bottom light comes in handy for night landings and used for precision landings.  No side sensors so be careful there.  Very fast indeed. Propeller holders available on Amazon or Ebay.
