What makes you think that it was hovering?  
Why would you think it's lost signal?
It could just as easily be flying under full control.

Yes, you're right.

30,000 kg train hits a 0.9 kg drone. Wonder which one won. Bug on the windshield.

Hi DAFlys, did you have the volume turned up? You could certainly hear the drone crashing in to the train. Just wonder if the owner new what happened to his drone? If it was facing the way the train came, hi might have a recording on this RC or the phone. One of a kind video.

Actually I didnt have the volume turned on,   bad day for the drone owner then.

Ouch. That was not what he (she) wanted probably.

Looks like there might have been two drones, the possible second one first appears around 24 secs in, if so the second might have captured footage of the crash.
