So,  San Diego State University bought this site from the City.....and immediately started building a new SDSU Stadium, and demolishing the old one.
I have progress imaging from Sept 2019 thru Feb 28, 2021 which is what you are seeing now......

True I am not the only one,  however I am the only one with the needed Waiver/COA to fly in that airspace.

A couple times......I now make a point of flying Sunday am, and not seeing anyone else's drone in the air.

I do a sight lap around initially to see if there are cars in known locations that might be droners.  There are certainly people flying illegally and posting their videos on You Tube.......

Did security come and threaten to call the police?  I had that happen there on a weekend with 3 other drones flying.

Well,  if the construction company was working, and drones are flying over workers and equipment then YES they can call.

If you dont have an FAA Waiver/COA to fly sUas in that airspace, then you are flying illegally .  

I do hold said COA to fly there, and have discussed my flight planning with SDSU as well as the construction management......

We all just applied for LAANC and got automated approval to fly at Qualcomm it was 50' & 100' restricted so it gave plenty of clearance over the stadium.  As it was empty and demolish was not occurring there was not any real police action that could have taken place.  But we decide to wrap things up to avoid ruining the spot for others.  

Check out Sea World.  I asked the security if I could takeoff from the parking lot and he said no.  Sea World does not allow drones on their property but they have no issue flying over the park safely if it is closed.  Security advised me to go over across the inlet and fly from there.  It is 100' restricted but LAANC automated approval works which will give you enough operating room from ground level at 100' not including the height of the structures.  The wires on the gondola are hard to see but you can so make sure to keep an eye out for them.  From the inlet you still have VLOS over the Orca pool.  If you do fly there, do me favor and don't burn the spot by hitting an Orca or something.

Sounds like a good sensible measure.    I dont think many are aware its restricted as its not on the fly safe map.
