Sad commentary when highlihght of the week is the Council grading the road. Was so excited I almost forgot to record it. Oh well I suspect that if we're lucky the road will be done again before the end of the financial year.

yep, every pot hole & bump.
One way totally dirt, other you eventually get to sealed.

It must be a relief to have a smooth grade for at least some part of the year then

Couple a weeks at least. Dry probably does more damage than wet surface.

Is that paid for by government taxes, or do you personally have to cough up the cost of the repairs.?

Part of our rates but the State and/or Federal Government may kick in depending on classification of the road. Ours isn't high

filled in a few holes (incl a wombat hole paralleling the culvert), levelled out the corrugations, rolled & watered it & disappeared into the distance. No re=sheeting though.

correct. In fact the Council even convinced us how lucky we were that the roads weren't sealed

Nicely captured!

Nicely done.    Easy project for them...grade, water down and leave.  I'd expect the dryness quickly creates cracks and new potholes.  At least you have a smooth road for a short while.
