I've been testing out my DJI RS2 for a few days now, and I encounter a massive problem with my RS2/Raveneye Active Track 3.0 (let's call it AT 3.0) function.
The AT 3.0 seems to be working okay at low speed (see examples below) but completely malfunctions at higher speed. The camera oscillates and completely loses the subject after a few seconds.
Here are some examples of the problems I am facing :
- AT 3.0 speed @ 5 : seems to follow the subject relatively well
- AT 3.0 speed 10 : the subject focus seems to be jittery but still holds
-AT 3.0 speed 15 : a light movement of the gimbal loses the subject and camera starts oscillating (NB: the gimbal is slowly being moved up and down like in the previous videos, the rapid movements are induced by the gimbal on the camera)
- AT 3.0 speed 20 : even without moving, the camera starts oscillating and completely loses the subject after a few seconds (NB: the gimbal is static, the rapid movements are induced by the gimbal on the camera)
Has anyone encountered this issue ?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this problem.
I've tried to use the RS2 with other cameras (Sony A7R4 and Lumix S5) and the active track works fine.
It seems to be a prolem between the RS2 and the G9, even though it's considered as compatible.
Has anyone experienced this problem as well?
DJI support is a joke.
After a month and a half of back and forth, their final answer is:
"Sorry for the inconvenience caused and your understanding is highly appreciated."
