I am trying to update the firmware for goggles and drone.  DJI Fly kept telling me to retry as the install would fail.  Now I try DJI assistant.  Goggles and Drone will NOT update and continually give me an error.  The RC works and updates fine.  No matter what I do, no work.  Any assistance would be great.  Here is a screenshot of the DJI assistant after trying to update the drone.  I've gone through 2 flight batteries and 1 goggles battery trying to do this.  Bummed.

Same for me, then I tried on my windows machine and that worked without any problem.

I also had the same problem om Mac ( Big Sur ).

I gave in and used a windows 10 laptop to do the upgrade successfully.

But I stlill cannot activate the goggles !!!!

I had this same issue. You all need to activate the FPV drone/goggles/controller using the DJI Fly app on your phone before attempting to update the firmware.  Watch the video below from DJI on how to do it.  You'll then be prompted to upgrade the firmware once activated.

Yes but you dont get an otg cable with the standalone goggles. The instructions with the goggles also tell you to use the DJI assistant app on mac or pc. Its frustrating. :-(

If you bought the FPV combo you should be good.  

Those of us who bought just the V2 Goggles are currently in limbo if the goggles were shipped in drone mode - we cannot activate them without the drone!  We don’t want the drone - which is why we got just the V2 goggles.

If they came shipped in FPV mode , you can activate with the DJI Assistant app on PC and you are good to go with your air units and vistas.

DJI need to hurry out a firmware fix that lets us choose what mode the goggles boot up in so we can then activate them in fpv mode and get on with our flying.

I try to connect to mac with assist app. It sees a drone but not goggles and does now see remote! I try on win. Repudiate goggles but this error do now go out.

I have this same issue. Cannot get that pop up to go away despite upgrading/ downgrading firmware via DJI Assistant app on PC. Can’t access any menu options because of that bloody pop up. So frustrating, the goggles are as good as bricked and there seems to be no support from DJI on weekends

I'm stuck in the same situation, I can't move beyond this error message. does anyone have an answer yet? I'm on the latest version v01.07.0000 and it is telling me to update it.  Help Please!!!
