Well, sadly my first Combo had faulty goggles. Around 15 seconds after switching on, the screens started flashing grey every 2 seconds and DJI Support confirmed they were faulty.
But thanks to a quick turnaround at Heliguy, I got a replacement combo and finally got the beast up in the air today.
Crazy and insane comes to mind...... But great fun:
That flight time is terrible (Circa 8 minutes) and you get only one battery and more are £130 . It sounds terrible As well an annoying swarm of hornets with a wine
I don’t think I will be buying this one and rather wish it was not out there to be honest as this will not do the hobby any good
Vote with your feet and do yourself a favour and don’t buy it. You will end up smashing it in a short while anyway and the whole goggles thing will make many people feel sick
They should have made a light weight model that could cope with a crash and would not kill someone like a mini whoop

I would love to try the sim, but DJI have forgotten about Android....... Which isn't great...
So I plan to practice high up and gently with M mode
I think I would do the opposite and start off taking off and hovering a few feet up, the controls seem to be completely backwards to the GPS modes.

Well, my thinking is if it's up high, I'll have time to correct mistakes before it hits the ground.....

Ive been watching the learn to fav style videos and they almost universally start with hovering. However with the DJI fps as you can set limits so its impossible to flip it and you have that magic button up high is probably easier as you can use normal mode to get there, something a average fav doesn't have.

Hovering, tiny movements and finger on the brake button is what I'm thinking.......
I had to return the entire combo package but immediately bought a replacement for next day courier; I'll get the refund on the first in a few days hopefully....
New package working perfectly.....
