Hope you can assist.

I’m using the complete DJI FPV system built into a drone running Arducopter.

Arducopter is configured to run Auto Missions and if the RX/TX signal is lost the drone flight controller is set to complete the mission and return.

I’d like to be able to complete the flight mission with the Air Unit recording continuously even if the RX/TX signal is lost.

At present the recording stops a few moments after the drone drops the RX/TX signal.

I’ve tried manually activating the recording using the remote controller switch at the start of the flight and switching the Air Unit to record when the drone is flying via the Goggles menu.

Neither of these settings work.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Did you find a workaround? I was thinking of doing the same when I see you post.


One of the option in the dji goggle menu is to start the recording when the drone is armed.  Maybe by disabling it it may work.

There are no good reasons, But I speculate DJI wants to destroy evidences as a PR strategy.
