How do I remove the self-centering spring feature of the RC?

I noticed the two screws on behind the cover, F1 and F2.   Tried removing F1 and no difference.

Complete instructions for this are in the manual. You certainly do NOT remove the screws, in fact, you tighten the F1 screw.

Just got my first P1 up and running again for fun. Does anybody know where I can get a Throttle Stick to center spring kit for my old controller?
