So received DJI FPV Combo yesterday and had read the manual online looked at the DJI activation videos so I was pre-prepared
I have purchased 6 x different DJI drones over the years and the experience of taking it out of the box and activating is sometimes hit and miss with issues, this DJI FPV is the worst experience of activating a new product, I was trying last night for over 4 hours before finally getting there, in fact I cant help anyone else through as the DJI Fly app was "GREY" screen most of the time, kept restarting all the devices seemed to work then grey screen, made sure all the devices were linked still not working, restarted agin seemed to start downloading the firmware file got to 70% then grey sceen, started again and the app came up with Chinese writing used Google translate message saying can not update the batteries are low.
Using the IOS app, uninstalled then went to the DJI download page to make sure I have the right version still same issues as above

The instructions/video posted my DJI  bare no resemblance to my experience

hi there, I have same issues with this firmware udpates. Hope DJI fix this problems ASAP

I think because it takes so long to up date the batteries must be at 100% and if things go wrong they drop so the whole updating thing won’t work

You are probably right though no response from DJI though I’m sure they know they have issue with the process

Same experience here. Spent the whole day trying to activate. Had full batteries at the start. By mid-day batteries down to one light and still no activation. Charge for 2 hours and try again. Finally got it by 6pm. Then batteries too low to try a test flight.
