[color=var(--primary-text)][size=0.9375]I got the dreaded ‘Aircraft Disconnected’ warning on the Smart Controller the other day. The screen froze, yet I was able to fly the drone home manually. I understand the many reasons why the drone may disconnect from the Smart Controller, but I’m wondering how the Smart Controller let me fly the drone home if it was disconnected from the drone. Thanks!

Maybe the uplink was still working only the downlink didn't so you were still able to control the drone.

You may have had a disconnect/freeze with the dji app itself which I have experienced , if so you don’t have to have the app to fly the drone from what I understand.  I may be wrong but I think you can fly, RTH etc without the app.
