Hi, I bought my mini 2 when it launched but have not had it out much due to ill health. Trying to get out more now that weather is improving. I have been looking at lanyards so I can hang the controller from my neck when doing other things.

I had a look online but most seemed cheap and nasty. Ideally would like to be able to use with the DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller Tablet Holder.


I am based in UK .


Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I went for the below lanyard:

Peak Design

It isnt the cheapest by a long shot but i love the quick connect design.
I have attached the two toggle/anchor pieces to the bottom of the official tablet holder.
Works brilliantly. Bought it from Amazon rather than directly from Peak Design.
They also do a version with a thicker strap

I wasn't keen on the fact that doens't allow the phone mount to go back to its stored position so didn't print it... But I still might at some poiint when I have time.

I did see something very similar to that on ebay. Unfortunately I don't have access to a 3d printer.

Drone Valley has them in their Mini 2 section. There is a bracket that clips on the top center and the lanyard clips on to that.

I have the same one as Hendosvan above it seems to work fairly well. I leave it inserted and the thumb sticks in my RC, and can still fit it in my Combo bag. It hangs pretty good, I would have personally like a padded strap, but you are generally not flying for hours straight.

Are you using that with the DJI tablet holder? Looking at how that lanyard fits to the controller I don't think it would work with the tablet holder.

Unfortunately the above lanyards cant be used with the tablet holder. The plastic section cant be inserted with the tablet holder in place.

Not using with a tablet holder, as you stated DJI RC-N1: search shows as "Remote Controller Monitor Hood" not tablet holder, so I was not sure what you meant for sure.

I have the same lanyard as Hendosvan and Videoeditman which I use with a tablet (Media pad) and it works fine for me.

I downloaded and ordered the 3D lanyard adaptor posted higher up on this thread. It works great. It clips in very solid, to get it off you need to gently pull on the front plastic of the controller. I have no worries about it letting go, a good solid connection. Thank you!

Here's mine showing it with a tablet holder and also folded back down.
