Currently Mavic Mini and Mavic Air 2 does not support Waypoint and Hotpoint missions.
What can we expect in upcoming drone models? Can we assume all new drones will come without such support in SDK?
Should we assume that Virtual Sticks implementation is the only way moving forward with supporting DJI Drones?

I heard a rumor that dji will not have waypoints on any consumer drone from now.

I just learned Matrice 300 RTK (which is not consumer drone) does not support it as well...

The Matrice 300 RTK does support waypoints. it supports waypoint 2.0 and has a much higher limit on how many waypoints it can handle.

I did read the SDK roadmap, and it looks like there will be an update for the MA2 on 21st June 2021. Whether or not this will implement waypoints, I do not know.
