Actually, no. But I could.
I use the Fly More bag with extra batts and props, etc. When closed, their unique zipper and water resistant materials are pretty watertight (has survived short dunks from low heights and not a drop inside the bag!). The Mini 2 and controller would fit easily inside a dry bag, for sure, ready to go. I mostly fly from land or sailboat so no real need of dry bag, yet.
I fly extensively over water, so I have thought about this issue. I was fearful, at first, but the Mini 2 has proven quite reliable (no flyaways or uncommanded drops). I launch, fly, and retrieve with a little catch handle that has also proven reliable (I used to use a big salmon net to return to boat!) Now, on big boats, kayaks, canoes and even on rough ground I takeoff by simply holding up the drone by the handle and it just slips right out and up. Retrieval has been super easy on land or water... just bring the drone in close, grab the handle and twist. As the drone rolls with the hand twist, the engines automatically stop... super easy and safe! |
