Some of you keep asking DJI to reply, as if someone in forum support will have some secret knowledge. The reality is, don't ever expect DJI to bring out a feature they didn't announce when the product was announced, it has basically never happened.

I just picked up the fpv - and am  playing with the sim in manual mode.  I have a few other camera drones (mavic etc) and I have always set the controller to type 3 - the left stick is 'forward/backward' and strafing, the right stick is up/down an turning.  

I'm finding that this is not ideal in the M mode; I seem (in the sim) to have trouble flying forward.  Should I switch to a different controller mode (default is 2?)  I've been using a steelseries joystick, I suppose I should just hook it up to the real think now.

After flying a Mavic 2, and a Mini for a while the speed here is breathtaking.  I would love an S+ just to pop max speed.

Cause alot more could go wrong so much faster than in sport mode?

I agree.  I would love to have a "Sport+" mode that allows the Drone to achieve 87mph without having to enable Manual.

I also know how to fly manual mode, but I don't care about tricks and its to easy to crash in manual mode.  If I wan't to fly in manual mode i'll use a $150 5" drone you build yourself.  Crash it and who cares, Crash the FPV and even with with the care replacement that I bought its still alot of money to get it swapped.  Bottom line is we all paid alot of money for the FPV drone, Goggles, Controller, flymore kit and the motion controller.  We should be able to fly in the much safer sport mode at the full advertised speed. I would be willing to be over 80% of all crashes witht the FPV are in manual mode. So why would you penalize us for not wanting to risk flying in manual mode?  It makes no since.

Thats pretty hard to crash that drone in normal or sport mode

Manual mode is an expert mode. If you haven't got lots of experience or haven't put in 40+ hours in a sim, then you aren't ready. Once it clicks, then flying manual isn't that hard.

i use manual mode as much as i can, but there are downsides to it. for example, if you want to make a video behind a car accelerating, and you want to keep it perfectly within the frame. this is where a normal/sport/motion controller mode is just better.

In March 2024, this request will be three years ago.  The FPV1 team at DJi has long since been dismantled and it is unlikely they will revisit the code unless they must such as a serious bug fix or to implement RID.  Not likely to implement feature upgrades, just trying to set the expectation.  Wouldn't you rather the team work on and focus on FPV2, maybe make sure the Sport mode in FPV2 includes a 99mph limit?

They won't even fix the Simulator.     I doubt they're going to do this.

Ok, so has anyone hacked the code and let us do our own things since they don't care?

What they are saying is they would like the option for the Drone to hit the maximum speed but still perform like it does in sport mode and I agree I have asked prior for the same thing and still haven't heard anything back.

I fly with the motion controller about 99% of the time.
i have 2 of these drones.
i would love to be able to hit top speed in sport mode.
i am searching for a 3rd party firmware to let me do this, since dji will not.

Would love to see sport + on the FPV and Avata drones.  The difference between N and S seams so minimal, and the jump from S to M is huge.  Would love to pitch climb and dive in S+ also, acro mode for a dji drone is almost pointless as why pay for the safety features and not use them...
