Last Autumn, I did some extensive flying during my neighbour's maize harvest.
Covid restrictions prevented us from following up on the event, and so it is only now that
I've been able to complete the rather lengthy video (11 minutes from 2 hours' worth of flying).
I've uploaded it to YT so that he can view it without us actually meeting up.
He's pretty delighted with the result.

Quite a dance of those big vehicles...

Very impressive job of documenting the harvest event.    Can you imagine how hard that was before the invention of the harvesting machinery.

Yes indeed. It took them about 6 hours all told. How long it might have taken in the horse-drawn era doesn't bear thinking about.

Love it Blériot53, interesting to see all the usual drama of trouble with machines is universal.

Thanks mate. It was a great day with the local farmers. I was able to do a couple of hours of flying/video using both the Phantom 4 and the Mavic2 Zoom.  Editing all that down to just 11 minutes was quite a project   He's a good pal, so it was a pleasure to do it.

I remember some of this from last year, but put together looks great and you captured some interesting view points.   I see France is heading for our quarantine list.

Thanks. It was a mammoth task to edit all the footage down to 11 minutes.   And it took 18 hours to upload to YT due to our crappy bandwidth

Not so far. Only 3 weeks until we come back to the UK for good, so after that it's academic.

I didn't think the processing of food would be interesting...….but I digress. It is very interesting especially when shown from the view of your drone. Very nice!

Thank you.  We watch this process every year, taking place right next to our home.  Maize is the principal winter fodder for cattle in these parts. Silage to a lesser extent.
