I'm having problems with my Ronin SC. From what I saw several people are having the same problem and DJI has not yet given a solution.

My Ronin is balanced, I did the balancing test (even though he, in most cases, not reading the roll angle correctly), I did the autotune etc. I have years of experience with gimbals!

The problem is: When tilting the roll, Ronin goes crazy and starts to move without control.

In addition to being extremely frustrated with this problem in an expensive product and rarely used, I believe that this crazy movement damaged the sensor stabilizer of my Sony a6500 due to the sudden movement.

So today I have a gimbal that doesn't work and a damaged camera!

Another problem that is often reported here on the forum is that the DJI Pro Assistant does not recognize the gimbal on PC Win 10.

Mine has just started to do the same thing after the latest firmware update. It’s whacked the screen of my BMPCC and damaged it, now has a line of dead pixels. To say I’m unimpressed would be an understatement

I'm sorry about your camera. We can only bitter the damage.

Hope at the end of the tunnel! I'll watch and hopefully solve the problem. Another friend here in my city is complaining about the same problem.

Soon I'll let you know if it solved my problem too!

I have tried this before but I tried it again anyway. Unfortunately no success here! I need to send it to DJI.

Another thing I did prior to the video was manually move the arms to the correct location with a balanced heavier camera and did the same hidden menu trick.

It might not work for all problems, maybe your friend can try it too?
