So been doing a Lots of research online but I have not been able to find out how many cycles the DJI mini 2 battery has before it can’t take anymore charges.

I think the mini 1 was 300, but wanted to know if anyone knows what the cycle limit is for the mini 2?

The mini 1 ha LiOn batteries so should be good for at least 500 cycles. Also no maintenance requirements. The Mini 2 uses LiPo so cycle count will depend on how deep the batteries are discharged. Kept at above 50% at all times will be 500 cycles, 30% 300 cycles below 30% < 100 cycles. These are approximate but based on the battery chemistries. The cycle count is logarithmic based on discharge levels. those of us that fly Ducted fan jets do not discharge below 50%. 3.7V per cell under load. they will recover to <= 3.8v without load.

I've done about 80 flights with each of my 3 batts and Airdata UAV says they are at 92%, I live in the countryside on a non air restricted area, so I fly almost everyday from my garden... If you live in a city and have to go out to the countryside you'll probably won't fly as much, so I wouldn't worry much about them.

If they die I'll  get the MM1s as are cheaper, compatible and last about the same. Amazon is selling MM2 batts at 90€ instead of 55€, while MM1 are at the official 45€.

There are issues using the Mini 1 batteries in the Mini 2.

The most significant is that the battery gauge in  the application will report the incorrect battery levels as the fully charged voltage of a LiOn is lower than that of a LiPo. Also the current capability is lower so be careful in strong winds.

Cheers

I have a DJI Mini 2 with the DJI Fly software, and cannot count battery cycles. I have 12 hours of total flight time. Can that be an estimation?

Wont the MM1 battery take it over the 249g and not last as long, for the sake of 10 quid, I would get the Mini 2 batteries every time unless of course, there is a shortage.

You can get battery details within the settings. Go to the Safety tab and then into Battery Info. That will then give you information on the current status of each cell, the serial number, when it was manufactured and most importantly the number of times the battery has been charged.

I do not recommend using mini 1 batteries in mini 2 ,,,,,,they are designed different power is all wrong...not made for mini 2 can fry

Hit the 3 buttons in the top right hand corner, go to safety, find battery, there is an arrow next to it, click that it will tell you how many cycles its had.
