Folks,

I just discovered the DJI PC simulator. Pretty cool, connects the Inspire 1 to a PC with usb cable, and fly it with the RC. Nice one expecially for android users that have no simulator available in the DJI Pilot app...

DJI are obviously working on providing this for Android users, Im just not aware they have released it just yet.

I was looking for the SDK and in the download page there was this PC simulator with manual in Chinese :-) I'm a new Inspire user so I wasn't sure if that was already a well known feature... It looks like it is not known at all!

I installed it...... but it was late, and didn't drag out the inspire to try it.  Anyone know where the USB plugs in at?  I'm assuming at the back of the Inspire.  And does the camera have to be mounted?  A translation of the manual would be really helpful.

The USB cable goes on the back of the aircraft. You also need the DJI WIN driver that I downloaded from the Phantom download page.

I only tried with the camera on. You can control the camer with the RC but the simulator doesn't move it in the model.

Already have the driver from my Phantom.  I'll be trying it tonight

Is iOS SDK for the mac version? Also does this allow you FPV while flying. The other version that we use you can't and even though it is half decent it limits you to what youcan do.

Where can I find the Windows driver for simulation on a PC.  Been hunting on DJI but can't find it.  Downloaded the zipped manual but have to open on my PC.  Any help appreciated...Fred

Do you have the link to that zip file. I looked on the sdk site and downloaded what I thought you were referring to, but only found an exe file and pdf instructions in that zip file.

The link to the ZIP is below. you need to login into the developer site https://developer.dji.com/onboard-sdk/ I then click on the Windows OS and in the download section you see the ZIP for the simulator and the link to the drivers too.
