1. Go back and view the short video several times. You are likely to see some clips that can be moved to associate with similar ones.
2. Why are you shooting landscapes in Portrait mode?

1.  you are  right some of the waleshark footage repeat slidely.
2. shoot in horizontal 4K, edit in vertical full hd.

Even editing vertical close ups of people are distorted vertically. Except for shooting Portrait mode, In all other respects, especially like the clips you chose to speed up, your videos are professional. Universal professional video is shot in landscape mode.

i have to make a compromise and distorted some of the footage for the new #shorts format of youtube.

its for the new #shorts format from youtube Peter! it can bring your channel much more views and subscribers over the time because the videos are better promoted from youtube on mobile devices like phones.

It might work on mobile, but it is not really desktop friendly.

I usually rotate my phone when making and watching video's, but I get that a lot of people don't do that (anymore) and make portrait video's....
Too bad the newer drones don't have portrait mode anymore.

I shoot all footage in landscape with at least 4k resolution, then edit portrait mode in full hd. works very good so far!

My editor is super slow in 4K.
(I need to upgrade, but I really like the one I'm using right now)
Also not all my camera's are capable of recording in 4K.
And won't be for quite some time.
My brand new (for me) DSLR is just 1080p, and I shoot 85% of my video's with that.
So I will be editing FHD for quite some time.

It´s always better to film in the highest resolution and best compression as possible for the budget.
so you can still work with your. footage in the future too.

I use 2.7K for my drone. That is enough for me right now.
With these tiny lenses I don't see enough of a difference between 4K and 2.7K in details, and I do notice a big difference in editing speed / file size.
I'd rather see  FHD footage from my Nikon DSLR with a nice shallow DOF than 4K footage from a consumer camera.
Resolution is not contributing enough to the image quality for me to invest in newer camera's / editing hardware right now.

I'm always a slow adapter when it comes to these things and honestly, with most of the views being 720p anyway (youtube app on a phone has this as default, even on HD screens), I don't see much need to upgrade anytime soon. (budget is going elsewhere the coming 5-10 years I guess )
