The RS 2 Combo's focus motor rod is 12 mm. Why? dont know. Everything else in the photo world is 15 mm.

The problem is the rod is too short. I'm using a Blackmagic 6k Pro with a Sigma 18 to 35 mm lens.

I contacted DJI support directly. They said they dont sell anything longer.

I just came back from Home Depot. Nothing.

Next thing is to call a mechine shop and pay a lot of $$$$$$$$ to get one made.

But.. I know I cant be the only one. Anyone out there who has found a solution.

When others discover this same issue, as there is nothing unique about my needs, I solved this using an old Carbon Fiber Fishing pole. Cutting it to length.

Its kind of... sad that after spending $1200 on a "Pro" combo I have to use a piece of a fishing pole.

I’ve got the exact same setup and my mind is blown that this is even a problem from a company like DJI!! It a pretty big error to think all camera and lens combos can be serviced with one short rod!! I’m on the look for a longer 3rd party rod, but for now I’m using a nano nucleus with a 15mm rod and a focus pulling assistant.

there's nothing stopping you from mounting the whole focus motor setup ...underneath the camera lens instead ....that's what the extra screws are for and the two holes in the front of the sliding long  plate are good for.     This video also shows some other options if you wanted to get rid of the artist Swiss part for example - This did a pretty good job of taking care of a lot of problems of manfrotto plate that I had ....including how to mount the 3dFocus module under the lens

I found some 12mm rods on Amazon for under 10€. They’re 2mm thick, rather than the original 3mm thick DJI rod, but they work fine.
